of your purchase.
Our commitment is to provide quality fresh tea. We do not use “all artificial” flavors that would greatly extend the shelf life of the tea, dyed teas or expired ( old ) teas.

Many manufacturers use the lowest grade of tea - or “expired” old tea for Rooiboss. Those teas can be dyed for better appearance and flavored with all artificial flavors ( in order to achieve extended shelf life). Flavors with natural base have much shorter shelf life.
The steeping time for such tea would be well beyond 2-3 min time needed for fresh teas.
Vendors reselling mass produced Rooibos have no idea how old the tea is, or what grade of tea is actually used as dying would make all tea look impressive with very uniform color
